The Five Sisters of Kintail
A great challenge to Mountaineers and Hillwalkers
The ‘Five Sisters’ or ‘Beinn Mhor’, in Gaelic meaning ‘big mountain’ are a great challenge to mountaineers and hillwalkers. They can be a technical challenge second to none, and in winter months offer one of the best challenges in Scotland if not the whole of Great Britain.
The summits of the Five Sisters of Kintail are as follows:-
Sgurr nan Spainteach – 990m / 3248ft
Sgurr na Ciste Duibhe – 1027m / 3370ft
Sgurr na Carnach – 1002m / 3287ft
Sgurr Fhuaran – 1068m / 3505ft
Sgurr nan Saighead – 929m / 3047ft
Sgurr na Moracih – 876m / 2874ft
